We bring the warmth of Greece into cool Berlin.
REM♭ETIX is a new Berlin-based formation rooted in rebetiko. Born out of friendship with Anonimi, we bring the warmth of Greece to cool Berlin with vocals, bouzouki, guitar and accordion.
Music that builds bridges between homeland and adopted home. Inspired by the sounds of Greece, shaped in Berlin, united by friendship and passion. Despina, Leonidas and Odysseas, still connected from Anonimi, joined by Dinos and Sanne, as well as changing musicians who bring something new to every performance. Together we live music – not as a job, but as daily joy, as breath, as community. Our melodies tell stories: longing and warmth, joy and melancholy, rhythm and silence. Tradition meets innovation – with acoustics, with feeling, with heart. At the center is Greek Rebetiko: music of longing, defiance and everyday life, born in the harbors of the 1930s, now brought to new life in Berlin.
Rembetiko emerged in the early twentieth century out of displacement, exile and new beginnings. After 1922 in particular, refugees from Asia Minor brought their songs to Greece. In the port districts of Piraeus a new sound took shape: raw, direct and full of stories.

4. External Services (Google Fonts, YouTube Content)
This website loads fonts from Google Fonts. In doing so, your IP
address in particular may be transmitted to Google. In addition,
personal data, in particular your IP address, may be transmitted to
Google or YouTube when YouTube preview images are displayed or when
YouTube content is loaded. Where consent is obtained for this, the
legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; otherwise, Art. 6 para. 1
lit. f GDPR applies.
6. Contact by E-Mail
If you contact us by e-mail, we process your information in order to
handle your request and for possible follow-up questions. The legal
basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR or Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR,
if your request is aimed at entering into or performing a contract.
7. Newsletter (Brevo)
When you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your e-mail address
and the selected language. Registration takes place using the double
opt-in procedure. In this process, we also process the date, time and
technical evidence of registration and confirmation in order to
document your consent. Tracking of openings or clicks does not take
place. The legal basis is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR. The service
provider or processor is Brevo (Sendinblue) SAS, Paris. The data is
stored until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent; evidence of
consent and suppression lists may also be stored beyond this within
the scope of legal obligations. The mandatory information required
for registration is the e-mail address. Without it, registration is
not possible. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time via
